Terms of Service

Effective date: February 2026  ·  Last updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing synthaskill.com or installing and using the Synthaskill CLI tool, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Valeriy Baranyshyn, operating as Synthaskill (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. Description of Service

Synthaskill is a CLI tool that analyzes your codebase and generates AI agent configuration files for Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini, and other AI-assisted development tools. Access to the CLI requires a one-time purchase of a Dev or Pro license. Licenses are personal and non-transferable.

3. License Grant

Upon purchase, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Synthaskill CLI on the number of devices permitted by your plan:

The license covers personal and commercial use. Generated configuration files (agents, skills, references) produced by running Synthaskill against your codebase are your property with no restrictions.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

5. Payment Terms

All purchases are one-time payments processed securely by Stripe. Prices are listed in USD. No recurring charges or subscriptions are created.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are unsatisfied for any reason within 30 days of purchase, email [email protected] with your account email and order details. Refunds are processed via Stripe to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. After 30 days, all sales are final. Refunds for the Dev→Pro upgrade follow the same 30-day policy from the upgrade purchase date.

7. Software Updates

Dev license holders receive updates published within 5 years of their purchase date. Pro license holders receive all future updates for the lifetime of the product. Updates are delivered via the self-update command built into the CLI (synthaskill self-update). We do not guarantee any specific update schedule or that any particular feature will be added.

8. Intellectual Property

The Synthaskill CLI binary, website, branding, prompt library, and pre-built agent/skill templates are the intellectual property of Valeriy Baranyshyn and are protected by copyright law. Your purchase grants you a license to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of the software or its underlying components. Configuration files generated by Synthaskill from your own codebase belong to you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Synthaskill is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any generated output will meet your requirements. Use of AI-generated configurations in production environments is at your own discretion and risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Synthaskill and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and license if you materially breach these Terms, engage in fraud, attempt to circumvent access controls, or misuse the service in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure. Upon termination you must cease using the software. If termination is caused by our breach rather than yours, we will issue a prorated refund at our discretion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction of the service owner. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the website at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Synthaskill after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you may request a refund if within the 30-day window, or discontinue use.
